When I looked at the previous post, I noticed that the rich brown background color of the page lent a subtle cast to the darker colors in the ramps. I thought these tones were much more pleasing than the original stark grays, so I started playing around with generating “warm grays”. This is my first cut.
Screencapped and viewed on my mac, though, they’re less like “warm gray” and more like “champagne platinum”. They don’t look so saturated on the monitor I was actually doing the coding on (a 7 year old Viewsonic FPD). I’m thinking that more tweaking — and possibly a new monitor — is needed.
